Conventional Steps

The picture on the right shows a "3 RISER CONVENTIONAL STEP" with a wall or jog on the right side. To find the proper RAILINGS and price, you should:

Count all the risers. (Riser is "C") The picture has 3 risers.
Check riser measurements, they must be between 6 1/2" & 8".
Check tread measurements, they must be between 9 1/2" & 11 1/2". (Tread is "D")
Measure landing depth. (Landing Depth is "A"). In the picture "A" = 48 inches.
Measure landing protruding out past the jog. (Protruding landing is "AA") As this railing should go by the jog, add at least 4" to measurement "AA". (In the picture AA = 20" + 4" would equal 24").
For side "A" you require a 3 riser with a 48" landing (order # 3R48-36). You will find this railing on theprice list under "36" HIGH RAILINGS FOR 3 RISER STEPS". If there is no jog in the house, the other side would also require a 3R48-36. Our picture would require a 3R24-36 railing on the jog side.

THE ORDER NO. 4R44-36 IS A 36" HIGH RAILING FOR A
4 RISER STEP WITH 40 TO 44 INCH DEEP LANDING.

ALWAYS COUNT ALL RISERS AND USE FULL LANDING MEASUREMENTS.
ARTISTIC HAS MADE ALL ALLOWANCES REQUIRED. CHECK BUILDING CODES
TO DETERMINE RAIL HEIGHT REQUIREMENTS.
